Engelbert Humperdinck admits: "I am a big fan of René Le Blanc!"

Sometimes things happen that make you think: you could not make this up. For years, René Le Blanc was compared to his great idol Engelbert Humperdinck. But now it turns out that the world star himself is a fan of René. And honestly, that turns the showbiz world upside down for a moment.

From fanboy to colleague

René has admired Engelbert Humperdinck for years. The warm voice, the stylish presence, the class on stage: it all fits perfectly with the atmosphere for which René himself is so loved.

But when Engelbert said that he is a big fan of René, the story suddenly changed completely. For years, René was "the Dutch Engelbert Humperdinck." Now it almost seems as if Engelbert is slowly becoming the British René Le Blanc. And we are not mad about that at all.

A short circuit in the universe

René is a fan of Engelbert. Engelbert is a fan of René. Fans are fans of both. At this point, we probably only need a NASA study to determine who is orbiting whom.

But one thing is clear: when a world star like Engelbert Humperdinck openly expresses appreciation for René Le Blanc, that is not just a casual compliment. That is a musical seal of approval with a glitter border.

Who is really the Engelbert here?

For years, René was affectionately called the "Dutch Engelbert Humperdinck". Understandably so: the looks, the voice, the suits, the charm. The picture fits.

But now that Engelbert himself turns out to be a fan, we may cautiously conclude that the circle is complete. Maybe from now on we should simply call Engelbert the "British René Le Blanc". Just a small joke, of course. Or maybe not?

René remains René

What makes this moment especially nice is that René remains completely himself despite all the attention. No star behaviour, no complicated fuss, no dressing room full of exotic demands.

Just René. Warm, positive, stylish and always close to his fans. Maybe that is exactly why so many people have taken him to heart.

A dream moment for any artist

Every artist dreams of receiving recognition from their great example. For René, that dream became reality. Engelbert Humperdinck not only met him, but also clearly showed that he appreciates René.

And honestly: how many people can say that their hero eventually became a fan of them?

Will there ever be a duet?

We will say it carefully already: a duet between René Le Blanc and Engelbert Humperdinck would probably be too much for the internet to handle.

The servers would start smoking, fans would collectively switch into glitter mode, and we at ReneLeBlancFans.nl could officially say: mission accomplished.

Conclusion: René Le Blanc has achieved something special. Not only is he loved by thousands of fans, but his great idol Engelbert Humperdinck openly expresses his admiration as well. And that is simply beautiful.
