René le Blanc

The man behind the music

René le Blanc, the stage name of René de Wit, is a Dutch singer born on January 7, 1969 in Arnhem. With his distinctive deep voice and charismatic presence, he has been winning over fans in the Netherlands and Germany for years. He mainly sings in Dutch, German and English and works across schlager, pop and Dutch-language popular music.

He became widely known through the TV program "Ik geloof in mij": first on Omroep Gelderland from January 2013 until 7 May 2014, and later from October 2020 on SBS6. His song "If I Tell You" was released on 23 October 2020 and reached Tip 25 in the Dutch Top 40.

Because of his looks and musical style, he is affectionately called "the Dutch Engelbert Humperdinck". René le Blanc can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and YouTube. He now has more than 300,000 followers across social media.

Alongside his music career, René has become a familiar television personality. He has appeared on Ranking the Stars, De gevaarlijkste wegen van de wereld, Onmogelijke Duetten, De Alleskunner VIPS, Code van Coppens, The Big Bang, De Allesweter VIPS and Te land, ter zee en in de lucht. In 2026 he reached a true milestone: René wrote (together with Rene Ursinus) "Always My Love", the only newly written song on Engelbert Humperdinck's album Faithfully.
